Bishop Jackson serves as Senior Pastor of Hope Christian Church in the Washington, DC area. This multi-cultural congregation has two branches, one in the District of Columbia and one in Beltsville, MD. He has authored several books including In-laws, Outlaws, and the Functional Family, The Warrior’s Heart, The Way of the Warrior. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from prestigious Williams College and a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. His secular work experience includes positions in several Fortune 500 companies.

Hope Christian Church’s mission to help those who are poor and afflicted is demonstrated through its Jeremiah ministry which supplies food, clothing, and financial help to the unfortunate. The impact of its ministry to the nations has been demonstrated over the years by music and teaching teams that have led conferences in Germany, England, Nigeria, South Africa, India, and Argentina. An example of practical help is shown in how HCC has partnered with a daughter church in South Africa to fund a mobile AIDS medical facility. The church’s ministry impact is recognized widely in the area of public policy and societal change. Harry has met with many members of Congress, been at the White House numerous times and given countless media interviews that been directed at presenting a biblical worldview to leaders of our city and nation.

As founder and Chairman of the High Impact Leadership Coalition (HILC), Bishop Jackson has declared that the church and its leaders must lead the way to protect America’s moral compass and hear our nation. Through Bishop Jackson’s leadership, HILC has become an agent of healing to our nation by educating and empowering churches, community and political leaders. Educational summits with leaders around the country empower high impact leaders to make grassroots influence in their communities, states and our nation. Because of his work, he has received numerous awards, including the Watchman of the Year Award by the Family Research Council in 2011.

Bishop Jackson is a leading researcher on the black church. High Impact African American Churches, co-authored with George Barna, was nominated in 2005 by the Evangelical Press Association’s Gold Medallion award and received the Silver Medallion award. Bishop Jackson was also named one of the top 50 most influential Christians in 2005 by the Christian Post.

Michele Jackson, and has two grown daughters.
