- Be persistent in the efforts to see the doors of Toledo’s abortion facility CLOSE. In 2021, this has included many different pursuits in the courts, in law, through prayer and awareness campaigns. We are seeing the door slowly shutting with the elimination of surgical abortions as an option at this facility which already has saved hundreds locally. Increase counselor and prayer presence.
- Lobby for and propose bills that pursue the protection of human life from conception to natural death. This included the historic passage of the Heartbeat Bill signed by Governor DeWine in April 2019 and the proposal of the Life at Conception bill and Ambulatory Surgical Reform still in the works. Other bills working through the process include the Born Alive (protect lives of those that survive an abortion) and the Humanity of the Unborn Education Act and The Abortion Pill Reversal Information bill are in front of elected officials as well.
- Engage teens/students in the pro-life cause to encourage their depth of understanding of the cause and their personal convictions so that they can be influencers for life in their spheres. This includes monthly meetings through SEAL teams, pro-life contest in videography, creative writing and promotional design work, and pro-life education/celebration event hosting as done with the April movie night and the Baby Shower. Also coordinated with UT Students for life for a pro-life debate and coming in February, an end of life forum.
- Offer meaningful community outreach throughout NWO. To do so, we staff information booths at area county fairs (as allowed) done in partnership with local pregnancy centers, utilize the 40 weeks in the womb video unit we call the Truth Booth at malls and in churches, send out weekly E-communications and awareness/invites through local church bulletins and offer special events like March for Life and Legislative Breakfast with public presence on the streets and partnerships that give us opportunities to share in front of new groups.
- Presence and prayerful impact through programs like a new Pro-Abundant Life (a PAL program to encourage a joyful, more abundant life for families with toddlers and seniors), participation and volunteer recruitment for participation in 40 days for Life, organization of area Life Chain public prayer events and call to action and prayer for our legislators and councilpersons standing for life in the midst of critique and pressure.
