Thank you! We still need your presence at CCN!
Dear Life Savers,
Thank you for the great participation this past Sunday, the first Sunday that Capital Care has ever been open. You may have seen or heard that there were 70, 75 or 80 of you there. Those would have been counts that people made at some point during the day, not total participation. At any given time, for most of the 5 hour vigil, there were between 70 and 80 there, many of these were present for 3 hours or more, truly remarkable. Including everyone who came, not just those at some point in time, the participation was at least 150 people. It included people with physical limitations that made just getting there a sacrifice, and it included people from places not close, such as Defiance, Port Clinton, Tiffin, Fremont, Putnum County and other locations (sorry that I can't remember them all), and the group was multi-faith, the body of Christ, with members from various churches, including a Sunday service by Pastor Don and his congregation from Defiance Some who came continued to pray after all the patients and the abortionist had left.Though we did see many patients entering, we can be sure that some turned away, we just don't know the number. One thing we do know, is that when Capital Care knew we were coming out it concerned them. They knew a prayerful presence would not be good for business. They opened late, a likely attempt to make it appear they weren't going to open after all, brought in additional escorts in an attempt to keep the patients from being mindful of the prayerful presence, and they closed early, an hour or so sooner than normal. In a conversation I had with a worker toward the end of the day who wondered why you were all out there Sunday, when only a few are normally there, I let her know that Sunday is not just another day for all of you. It isn't OK to be open for business on a Sunday.
Following are the days Capital Care currently has on its schedule:
Tuesday, April 9, 2019 7:30 AM till about 2 PM, maybe a little later.
PALM SUNDAY, April 14th, 2019 around 8 AM till 1 PM
Good Friday, April 19th, 2019 7:30 AM till 2 PM
Monday, April 22, 2019 7:30 AM till 2 PM
After the great participation this past Sunday, I don't like having to ask for another good showing on Palm Sunday, but I am. We need to stop Sunday openings. First, it is the thing to do, and secondly we prefer to not have a continuing need to provide our normal weekday coverage on Sundays. Can we get more people, and make it unnecessary for people to feel a need to be there for multiple hours? Palm Sunday is also the last day for 40 Days for Life. If you haven't yet been out, or are thinking you should have come more often, this is your last chance. An hour before you go to church or an hour after. We can do that.
PLEASE COME OUT SUNDAY FOR ONE MORE BIG PRESENCE. If Capital Care schedules another Sunday after Easter, we will decide at that point how to proceed in the future.
God Bless, Bob Schoen
