Pastors: Stand Up, Speak Up, Pray Up for the Gospel and the Preborn

Last year, the Toledo Abortion Center (TAC) was open on Sundays until pastors from a number of area churches from as far away as Defiance and Fostoria committed to holding Sunday services. We began in May, and shortly afterward, the TAC stopped doing abertions on Sundays. Praise God! Foundation for Life is fortunate to own the parking lot on the NE corner of North Haven and West Sylvania Ave., on the opposite corner of the TAC. This parking lot is perfactly suited for hosting an outdoor Sunday service. 

In December 2023, we stopped hosting the Sunday morning services due to weather conditions and the holidays. Well, shortly after that, the TAC resumed their Sunday hours to perform chemical abortions. We know from past experience that they don't want their customers exposed to the presence of God's people conducting a church service, a prayer vigil, or a worship service. So, despite the weather, we are going to reinstate our Sunday morning services.

STAND UP: the Word of God tells us that when His people are gathered in His name, His presence is in the midst of us. (Matt 18:19-20 "Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in My name, there I am with them.)

SPEAK UP: Because of this we ask you to host a Sunday service, prayer vigil, or worship event. Seize this dual opportunity to proclaim the Gospel in this mission field (this neighborhood), while at the same time closing the abortion center on the Lord's Day. 

PRAY UP: Assault the gates of hell through prayer and worship to tear down demonic strongholds and declare liberty to captives. You will be confronting genuine evil from the spirits that animate those proabortion hecklers that show up to mock and ridicule our services virtually every Sunday. It will challenge your love for those who persecute you.

We are seeking 12 courageous churches to bring the love and presence of Christ to TAC one Sunday every 12 weeks. Will you commit to providing three services over the next 12 months (one about every 12 weeks) at TAC? We are asking you to conduct your service between 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. -- the busiest times at the facility. It can be a full service, a worship service, or a simple prayer service - whatever works best for the size of your congregation. 

Our vision is an ecumenical effort to share the love of Jesus - for the preborn, for their parents, and for those who work at the abortion center. We believe that the presence of God's people at TAC will save lives and advance His Kingcom! Will you help stop abortions being performed on the Lord's Day?
